What is some good advice and resources for a wife who wants more intimacy than her husband?

We've been married for almost 2 years, and both abstained until marriage. We have a wonderful, loving, strong relationship. And we do have a good intimate relationship too, but my husband is happy with once a week or so and I find myself constantly frustrated. He rarely initiates, doesn't usually follow-up on interest I show, and may turn me down entirely. We've talked about it, and he has told me he's usually stressed out, tired, or just doesn't think about it. He feels bad, but things haven't changed. We're young, in good health, and are both faithful...so I'm at a loss. I've found very few resources for this situation, since everyone seems to believe the old myth that men always have a higher libido. Can anyone offer insight, advice, or point me in the right direction for where to look for help?What is some good advice and resources for a wife who wants more intimacy than her husband?
Sounds like he has some underlying confidence or psychological issues.Cheating will only ruin what you have so that is not an option.Start slow , talk to him and ask him what he wants and why he is not interested.Find out if he has any fantasies or anything that excites him.If he is stressed he needs a life change,learn how to handle what ever he is stressing about.Job,finances,you etc..Does he exercise?That will help with confidence,stress control and his overall mental outlook.For you, try self fulfillment for those times you need it and can't have it.It isn't as good , but it may relieve the stress and help you clear your head.If you love him,work it out , there has to be a way to compromise and make it work for both of you.What is some good advice and resources for a wife who wants more intimacy than her husband?

shortly after I posted this question I had a very long talk with my husband and I had sex once since then... that was over a month ago.





It is VERY frustrating!

oh, and ignore anyone who asks or suggests your husband might be gay. men don't all have high sex drives.
first check if he is homosexual. don't get annoyed..





only 2 yrs of marraige and only once a week. how is that once a week, is it good, vigorous, and intimate, or u find it only superficial. does he take time for foreplay or just launches at it.





i think he has some problem %26amp; it would not be a bad idea to consult a councellor. though after advice from a doctor, u can try slipping him a viagara for two or three times and see the effect.

You should take some time with him, and try to find out what is making him so stressed out, try to work out that problem. And start dropping hints that if he doesn't take care of business at home someone will. Even if its not true.
To be honest I believe women are the more sexual creatures. You have to get him to notice you. Talking doesn't cut it. Dress provocative for him. Try but not too hard. If you normally have face to face sex try something different next time. Be adventurous with him. Be spontaneous...
this what you wanna do take him out to a club and get your freak on wear something really sexy and get him a litlle tipsy so he is able to drive and give him some felatio on the way homewith no panties on and as soon as you get home jump on him like a dog on a bone till he gives you a bone of his own. that should be a start to something promising

It may be that you need a ';friendly Henry'; to help out with the over-load. Or get a toy and then you won't have to cheat. But, at any rate you shouldn't have to deny yourself the pleasure that everyone is entitled to. If he doesn't want any , there will be someone else that does.
