Husband has gout and pernicious anemia. Any advice, dietary or otherwise?

Hi, my husband was diagnosed with gout about a year ago. He was advised to limit foods like shell fish, liver, and other organ meats. Last week he was diagnosed with pernicious anemia (B12 deficiency), and ideally that would mean increasing his intake of liver, organ meats, and red meat more generally. We are not sure how to maximize his B12 intake without also increasing his risk for a gout attack. Any advice?Husband has gout and pernicious anemia. Any advice, dietary or otherwise?
My suggestion would be- and I am not a doctor- to look into supplements and/or injections of B12. Since the foods that are high in B12 are those that will exacerbate the gout, I think that's the best treatment.Husband has gout and pernicious anemia. Any advice, dietary or otherwise?
Leave those fatty/fried foods alone. Also dairy is bad for the gout. Stick to a low-fat, vegie rich diet and limit your red meat intake to 1-serving per week. Use lean fish, Salmon, or Cod, and bake it. Limit all sugar. Gout is rapid among fast food users. Good luck.
i can provide solution for gout and allows to continue intake of liver organ meats and red meat , thats is what i have seen my dad done for himself
Talk to the Dr. about it. Taking iron supplements might take care of the anemia.
