My husband and I have been to conceive a baby for the last year nothing any advice?

Katie B, I am not pregnant yet but am having a hard time. My husband (30) and I (26) have been trying for 10 months. I went off the pill 9/17/05 and like most people thought it would happen immediately. That was not the case. I saw my gyno for a preconception visit 1/20/06 (which everyone needs to do - according to What to Expect When Your Expecting - I've read it cover to cover). My Dr. mainly told me not to stress because it can delay ovulation. She told me because of our ages we would not be able to see an infertility specialist until we had been actively trying for at least a year. Since my husband had an accident in the military we went to our primary care physician for a semen analysis. We found out it was low - real low (12 million). We were able to see a urologist (try to find one who specializes in male infertility). The second semen analysis improved (24 million) but his urologist thinks for his age, health, etc. it should be 80 million. My husband has recently under went a procedure to correct a vericocel. We will not be able to see if it worked until 8/21/06. There is only a 40% chance it did. Good luck to you and your hubby, JenniMy husband and I have been to conceive a baby for the last year nothing any advice?
When my husband and I were trying with both of mine I used fertilityfriend.com. It has alot of useful info, and it can tell you the most probable days to get pregnant. It might take a couple months to figure out how many days after your period you ovulate. If you ovulate on time it will be 14 days after your period, but some people ovulate sooner , and some ovulate late. So, you might be missing the egg by a couple days.

Hope this helps... with my first I got it the first month and with my second it took until the 3rd month. Because of the pregnancy, my ovulation changed and the first 2 months set a pattern of early ovulation, so fertilityfriend.com told me the days to try that I was most likely to get pregnant. and after that month was over, it showed what probability in a percentage that I conceived that month was.My husband and I have been to conceive a baby for the last year nothing any advice?
Kate, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
