I'm scared of driving...any advice? my husband is teaching me tomorrow.?

In highschool I didnt feel the need to learn how to drive when they had drievrs ed cause the bus transportation is soo great in hawaii. and now I am married and 22 years old and moving to the mainland in december and I live about one mile away from the bus. I need to learn how to drive before my husband leaves for a month. He has a truck..a ford ranger and I drove it in a field one time and tried around the neighborhood. But I am sooo scared of other cars around me cause I have been in an accident before with my brother driving and the next thing he is dead and I am carrying him out of the car. So it is very tramatising. But I am wanting to start a goal to drive. I am just scared I will fail and just be a wuss. Is there any tips on helping me learn how to drive with confidence?? I would like to drive to north shore and back home. When you learned how to drive how did you feel? I even have dreams of me driving like a pro. I want to be me in that dream...sigh...Please help me with tips!I'm scared of driving...any advice? my husband is teaching me tomorrow.?
just try to relax and pay attention to what you are doing. don't worry about going to slow, you will speed up as you get more comfortable. just make sure you wear your seatbelt, watch where you're going and check your mirrors once in awhile. no matter what don't get rushed, if someone is being pushy, tailgating...etc just stay in your lane and hold your speed and let them pass you if they want to. you'll do fine, try not to stress out to much over it, you'll be a good driver in no time.I'm scared of driving...any advice? my husband is teaching me tomorrow.?
My best advice is to go to a Drivers Ed Class and don't let your husband teach you. It could cause DIVORCE! or Worse.
Best to get a qualified instructor, if not well it could strain the relations with your husband.
Just join a driving school and get the instructor to teach you.


Husband will nag alot if you make a mistake,coz he is worried of your safety when u drive alone at later dates.


My advise to you is, follow the rules of the road,be patient and alert.Follow the speed limits.No rush at all.


Dont panic at any time.


You will be a good driver.
